Design

Let’s Get Together is a group project made for a University of Washington class (Art 383 – Interaction Design).  The team was myself (mobile usability research / design), Brian (usability / design research), Robert (industrial design), Aaron (graphic design).

I don’t agree with every decision that ended up in this final design. However, it was a really fun project and it was wonderful to work with a team of talented people.

In an overview of 200 academic research papers from 2006-2011 that studied the usage of mobile devices, a calendar was ranked among the top 5 desired features. However, although most users had opened their phone’s calendar, few used it regularly.

Our design goals were:

  • reduce visual overload
  • make it easier to enter data
  • help people coordinate events on-the-fly
  • encourage spontaneous social gatherings

Let’s Get Together helps people make time for things that matter.
